In 2015, the Pink for Africa mission took a purposeful turn toward vocational education with a visit to St. Anne’s Vocational School. We believe that empowering young women and men with practical trades must go hand-in-hand with ensuring they have the health and vitality to pursue those careers.
By providing a cash donation to the school’s welfare fund, we aimed to support the specialized needs of students who are working hard to build their own futures through skilled labor and entrepreneurship.
Why Vocational Support Matters
Students at St. Anne’s are the future creators and service providers of our community. Our outreach focused on making sure their journey isn’t interrupted by unforeseen health costs. Our 2015 contribution aimed to:
- Protect the “Hands” of the Future: Supporting the school’s ability to provide immediate medical attention and welfare support for students.
- Health for the Hardworking: Bringing wellness awareness to a fast-paced vocational environment, reminding students that their health is their most valuable tool.
- Fostering Independence: Relieving the financial pressure on students and their families so they can focus on mastering their crafts.
“At St. Anne’s Vocational, we saw a community of doers. Our 2015 donation was a pledge to protect the health of these young professionals as they prepare to contribute to Ghana’s economy.” — Pink for Africa Team
A Diverse Legacy of Giving
Whether it is a technical institute, a traditional SHS, or a vocational center like St. Anne’s, Pink for Africa is committed to meeting students where they are. 2015 remains a milestone year in our journey to touch every corner of the Ghanaian educational landscape.
A huge thank you to the St. Anne’s administration and students for their incredible hospitality and hard work!
