In 2016, the Pink for Africa mission headed to the coastal “Education City” to support the “Great Winnesec”—Winneba Senior High School. Our visit was more than a stop on the map; it was a commitment to the “Unity and Hard Work” that defines this institution.
Our cash donation was specifically directed toward the school’s health and welfare systems, ensuring that students in the Central Region have the financial backing they need when health challenges arise.
Winneba SHS is a pillar of the community, and we wanted our presence there to be felt where it matters most—the student body. Our 2016 contribution focused on:
- Sustaining the Welfare Fund: Providing immediate liquidity to help the school manage student medical emergencies without delay.
- Proactive Wellness: Using our platform to engage students in conversations about health literacy and the power of early detection.
- Regional Impact: Strengthening our 2016 focus on the Central Region by standing with one of its most prestigious schools.
“The spirit at Winneba SHS is as strong as the coastal breeze. Our 2015 donation was about ensuring that every student has the health and vitality to finish the race they started.” — Pink for Africa Team
A Year of Expanding Reach
From the hills of the Eastern Region to the shores of Winneba, 2016 was a year of broadening our horizons. We believe that by supporting schools like Winnesec, we are building a healthier, more resilient Ghana, one student at a time.
Our deepest thanks to the Winneba SHS administration and students for their warm “Akwaba” and incredible energy!
