In 2015, the Pink for Africa trail led us to the heart of Odumase-Krobo to support the resilient community of Manya Krobo Senior High School (MAKROSEC).
Recognizing MAKROSEC as a vital hub of academic and cultural pride in the Eastern Region, we provided a cash donation to ensure that the school’s welfare and health departments could better serve their students. Our goal was simple: to make sure that a sudden health issue never forces a bright student out of the classroom.
The Mission at Manya Krobo
Our visit to the “Great MAKROSEC” was focused on practical support. We know that school administrators often face the difficult task of managing student health emergencies with limited funds, so our 2015 contribution aimed to:
- Sustain the Sickbay: Providing resources to help the school manage day-to-day health needs and minor medical emergencies.
- Empower Through Awareness: Using our platform to talk to students about the importance of being proactive regarding their health.
- Support Local Families: Relieving the financial stress on parents by contributing to a communal school welfare fund.
“There is a unique spirit of excellence at Manya Krobo SHS. We wanted our 2015 donation to honor that spirit by protecting the health of the students who carry it.” — Pink for Africa Team
2015: Our Eastern Region Footprint
This stop at Manya Krobo was a key chapter in our 2015 journey. It reinforced our belief that when we support a school, we aren’t just giving money—we are protecting the future of an entire district.
We are deeply grateful to the MAKROSEC administration for their partnership and the warm Krobo welcome!
