In 2015, the Pink for Africa mission climbed into the hills of the Asuogyaman District to visit the students and faculty of Boso Senior High Technical School (BOSOTEC).
While these students are busy mastering technical skills and academic theory, we wanted to ensure their health was never a secondary thought. Our cash donation was a direct investment in the school’s welfare fund, providing a safety net for students facing health-related financial hurdles.
Why Boso?
Technical education is the backbone of Ghana’s growth, and the energy at BOSOTEC is proof of that. By showing up for this community, we aimed to:
- Fuel the Welfare Fund: Ensuring the school has immediate resources for student medical needs.
- Bridge the Gap: Bringing life-saving health awareness to a technical setting where it’s often overlooked.
- Support the District: Strengthening our 2015 “Eastern Region Tour” by including the resilient community of Boso.
“At Boso SHTS, we didn’t just see students; we saw future builders. We want to make sure they are healthy enough to build the Ghana we all dream of.” — Pink for Africa Team
The 2015 Impact
Whether it’s a coastal school or a hillside technical institute, the goal remains the same: No student should struggle alone. Our time at Boso remains a highlight of our 2015 outreach calendar.
A massive shoutout to the BOSOTEC administration for their warm welcome!
