Pink for Africa Visits Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital

In a heartfelt mission to support breast cancer patients in Ghana, Pink for Africa visited the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra this March to make a significant cash donation.

This wasn’t just about the funds; it was about the message that no woman should have to fight this battle alone. The donation is aimed at alleviating the financial burden of treatment for those who need it most, ensuring that life-saving care remains accessible.

Why This Matters

For many breast cancer survivors and patients in Ghana, the cost of treatment—ranging from chemotherapy to surgeries—can be overwhelming. Pink for Africa’s contribution to Korle-Bu serves as a lifeline, helping the hospital provide:

  • Financial Assistance: Helping patients cover the costs of essential medications.
  • Enhanced Support: Improving the resources available to the oncology department.
  • A Message of Hope: Reminding the community that there is a global network of support behind them.

“Our mission has always been to bridge the gap between diagnosis and recovery. This donation to Korle-Bu is a step toward ensuring that financial constraints don’t dictate a patient’s survival.” — Pink for Africa Team

Looking Forward

Pink for Africa continues to champion the cause of early detection and education. By partnering with institutions like Korle-Bu, the goal is to shift the narrative around breast cancer in Ghana from one of fear to one of empowerment and survival.

A huge thank you to all our donors and supporters who made this possible!
